Project Description

The Gulf of Guinea Methanol Project (GGML) is an estimated One Billion Dollar ($USD1.0Bn) development and delivery of a pre-engineered modular Methanol facility to produce 1.0 MMTPA (3,000mtpd) of Grade AA Methanol products. The plant would be made available for shipment with full engineering package ready to enable a reduction in the engineering phase as re-assembly of the plant which could start Q4 2019 and end in 24 months from the date of initiation (2022).

Exxon Mobil is the preferred supplier of Gas from NNPC/Exxon Mobil JV gas from Oso Field which is one of the biggest Gas and condensate fields in Nigeria. Currently, an ongoing project to serve the domestic market with gas from this field has the construction of a 56 km, 24 inch gas pipeline from Oso Field Platform to the Qua Iboe Terminal (QIT) in Ibeno. A 23km, 12 inch spur gas pipeline would also be constructed from QIT to the methanol plant by GGML project.

We are current discussions with the gas supplier for an off-take of 100MMSCF/D of gas for the GGML project.

The Methanol project has as its shareholders, one of the biggest Methanol producers and would utilize an undisclosed methanol technology provider with a Chinese company for EPC who is already specialized in modular plants and also conversant with the licensors technology.
